11th ECSYU Symposium (15:00~ 13th, April, 2022, Online via ZOOM)

Contents

2 Invited Talk + Student Talk Session

The symposium will feature two invited talks and a student session. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with two distinguished researchers in organic electronics and electrochemistry, as well as present their own research. In the student session, one-presenter will be award as “Best oral presentation award”.

We are looking forward to your participation!!

Invited Talk Session (45 min talk + 10 min Q&A time)

Invited talk 1 (Organic Electronics)

“Flexible Electronics Driven by High-mobility and Robust Organic Semiconductors

Professor Toshihiro Okamoto
The University of Tokyo, Japan

Professor Oakamoto conducts reseach in the area of chemistry of  mobility organic semiconductors development and application.  Especially, he was forcusing on chalcogen-containing heterocycles as organic semivonductors to provide unique electronic structure or molculer shape.

Selected paper
“V-Shaped Organic Semiconductors With Solution Processability, High Mobility, and High Thermal Durability”
Advanced Materials, 2013, 25, 6392–6397.

Invited talk 2 (Electrochemistry)
“Identification of active catalytic sites under reaction conditions using electrochemical scanning tunneling microscopy

Professor Aliaksandr S. Bandarenka

Professorial Faculty Technical University of Munich, Germany

Professor Bandarenka conducts research in the area of the physics of energy conversion and storage. His main topics include the design and implementation of functional materials and a better understanding and characterization of electrified interfaces. The material design is based on a bottom-up approach using input from electrochemical surface science and starting from model surfaces.

Selected paper

“Direct instrumental identification of catalytically active surface sites” Nature, 2017, 549, 74–77.

“Finding optimal surface sites on heterogeneous catalysts by counting nearest neighbors” Science, 2015, 350(6257), 185-189.
