About us
With over 100 years of history, the American Society of Electrochemistry (ECS) is the world’s leading academic society. ECSYU is its student chapter, and was established in 2018 as the first ECS student chapter in Japan. Currently, with support from ECS and other organizations, ECSYU invites researchers from all over the world and plans and organizes symposia and seminars.
The ECS Student Chapters are also actively involved in exchanges with more than 100 ECS Student Chapters outside Japan. The ECS Student Chapters have become a community for students and young researchers, mainly specializing in electrochemistry and solid state physics, to learn globally and to take their first steps in this field.
